It’s just a learning curve for a lot of the young lads. Some will be disappointed but this can act as fuel to motivate them to do better when they go back to the EDS

I fully expected something like that. We've got the EDS with a couple of senior players in their first game playing against a full celtic squad who are a week away from starting their season. Naturally we were going to be up against it.

JWE sadly looked miles out of his depth, pep should have just asked him to play left back instead of inverting him. Rico stood out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of the back 4 on the ball with his calmness and passing ability but hasn't looked much better defensively than JWE in truth.

Ortega was poor for the third goal and distribution wise has been one of the worst halves I've seen from him. O'Reilly looks like he's got a lot of talent but has been very naive, and comes across as too keen to impress, needs to simplify it. Mcatee has seen a disappointingly minimal amount of the ball. Not all his fault but needed to do more to get himself open for a pass. Bobb not seen enough of the ball either. Kalvin Phillips actually did alright.
