What’s this the yank commentator was saying O Reilly to cover for Rodri can’t see that is the lad not more of a forward player as in attacking midfielder..
Commentator was remarking that Pep was saying O'Reilly could cover for Rodri.

If all are fit — Akanji, Stones, Dias, Aké (and don't forget that Gvardiol is more than capable of playing there)— you're not going to be picking Kalvin Phillips ever in that role. Honestly, you're just not.
2 of Akanji/Ake/Gvardiol may well be playing FB and one or two might be injured (typically Stones), so there's always a chance of a game or two. Never going to be a regular starter of course but might be able to do a job until he can build his confidence and we can find a buyer.

He's had it very comfortable back there, tonight and against Barca. The slightest bit of pressure and he crumbles.
Was hoping he might come good and he might, but not for us.

I wonder if he's any relation to Christina Unkel who did the ref analysis for ITV at the Euros.
Wouldn't be surprised, I bet their Dad is Karl B Unkel CEO of the US Football Federation, a little nepotism goes a long way.
