What’s this the yank commentator was saying O Reilly to cover for Rodri can’t see that is the lad not more of a forward player as in attacking midfielder..

Yeah maybe, but if I'm understanding correctly, he can pivot into the end zone which will allow him to unlock the wide receiver in the bottom of the ninth and win the free throw for an uncontested face-off.

He did the same thing in last years pre season.

You might be right but I highly doubt he will be anywhere near being in with a chance of getting in a matchday squad with us.

And that may well be the case.

But I think he may get smaller games and cup games as he offers something different in moving the game forward. As others have said, he buys himself time and tries to anticipate the movement of the oppo player.

His problem is him thinking like a DM as we saw him breaking the back line by dropping too deep.

With that said, even our actual defenders do that from time to time, so I can't get on at him for it as he's reinventing himself. That will take a little time to get the synchronisation right.

The tour so far is a success for young Nico Orally (for those who remember faulty towers)
Composed, strong, reads the game well.
Now being sprinkled with Pep dust

Some good, some really not so good. Phillips actually looks like a footballer, just a shame it’s not is the position we need him. Two goals for Erl, Wilson had a decent half.

Kovacic off the pace and needs the minutes, bobb and Grealish quiet and Mcatee struggling to get in the game.

Chelsea look a shambles considering this ain’t far off full strength for them and this is probably 3/4 players at most who will be regulars for us.

Enjoyable first half, we look like a team with a plan and the ability to execute it.

Chelsea look like a team needing a few months to take on board Maresca’s plans.

Hopefully they play like this in two weeks time.

Do you honestly believe that he will be with us at the end of the transfer window?
