Decent half from us. Phillips doing alright at centre-half, his long balls are an asset but it’s a shame he fucked up a relatively easy pass that let them in. Pep’s reaction said it all. Tbf, Ortega dropped an even bigger bollock but also got away with it.

Wilson-Esbrand looked good too, gutted for him with that injury.

Going better than I expected really, but Chelsea have been very bad despite their strong line-up. Hopefully bodes well for that first game.

A bit sloppy to be honest. Pitch is a bit shit which is not helping. They've probably had a bit more possession but we've done more with it. Chelsea's defence looks more brittle than Bertie Brittle, a professor of brittle bone disease at the University of Brittle, OH.

Not watched any of the other friendlies, but I do get the distinct impression that there have been far more sky blue shirts in the crowd than the opposition's. The MCFC "brand" seems to be healthy in the U.S.
