Double jeopardy only applies if the "foul" was deemed a genuine attempt to play the ball, not the man. So, for instance, if a defender deliberately handles the ball on the line, he can be sent off. Re the Stones "goal", Rodri was offside.Because of the one playback I watched it looked like he just out muscled him. Certainly didn’t look like a red.. like no way, surely the double jeopardy rule comes into play there?
Mind you only seen the Stones disallowed goal in real time and couldn’t work out what was wrong with that either but I assume something was?
