For the majority of the game I thought we were okay. Still think we can draw this game. But a very weird half. Embarrassing that KDB and Phil can't create a single chance. We're relying too much on Doku or Savinho.

We’ve played with a tempo much better than recent months. Doku has had Alexander-Arnold on toast and Savinho has been bright.

For all of Liverpool’s dominance in the PL and Europe so far this season, they’ve looked extremely ordinary and we deserve some credit for that.

They are ordinary. We've done nothing that half the teams in this league havent done and they don't have nearly the money or pedigree or management that we have.

Take the second goal for example. Ederson could have said he was blocked from jones whole side surround ref etc prob get the decision. Instead they just look defeated and accept their fate. Crowd is flat

They've not got out of first gear and are 2-0 up. They are streets ahead of us. We've had a lot of ball, but have we troubled their keeper in any serious fashion?

Just a question of how many this. Liverpool can score as many as they feel inclined to. It was imperative not to concede early, but as usual Rico Lewis was on hand to trash any game plan we might have had, with his trademark “get muscled off the ball” routine and all we have in exchange is the illusion of competitiveness.

As soon as most saw the lineup we knew the outcome. The problem is due to age and injuries we have nothing better. Nobody on the bench is coming on to improve us. Maybe Grealish and Bernardo will give us a bit more control in midfield, who knows?

Gvardiol’s defensive shortcomings get overlooked a lot on here. If he’s our future CB, we’re in a lot of trouble.

Doku has Trent on toast, but nothing to pick out once he gets to the byline.

Our defence has been muck this season.
Yes they are let down time and time again by the lack of midfield but we have too many people playing defence that don’t seem to have any defensive instincts.
Gvardiol for me, is not a defender. I’m not sure about Kushanov on the other side either.
The same goes for Rico when he’s there.

There will be a clear out of the old guard this summer but I really think that Pep has quite a job on his hands to get this lot up to standard. We need an injection of quality and speed.

As for the second half….
I just hope this doesn’t get as messy as the Arsenal match.

thing is i dont even know what the solution. everyone was moaning about gundo and bernardo, well have a look no gundo and bernardo and we still look absolutely dogshit, giving the ball away, 2 passes and they are past our defense
