Pep wanted Fernandinho in midfield and Garcia is the 3rd choice CB ahead of Stones and Otamendi.

How stupid would it be to lose because you picked a worse player than Garcia because he might not be here next season? Pep's not that pig headed about things.

He wants to win this Champions League, and he'll pick the players that he thinks give him the best chance.
