Really woeful performance from de Bruyne. he might the player that costs us the game if he stays on. those high risk passes just rant coming off as much anymore and the turnover makes us very exposed.. Silva should be starting all the important games pep needs to decide which player he plays each week alongside him and Rodri - Gundogan or de Bruyne

We played really well in the first half although Kev and Haaland could have been sharper at times. Phil outstanding so far.

There’s been a lot of games this season when our second half performances have seen a huge drop in quality and we thrown away points. Hopefully today isn’t one of them.

Must be watching a different match - thought he was excellent - KDB the one having a stinker

I was just thinking Foden, Grealish, KDB, and Gundo are all playing well, but more as individuals rather than as a team. We need to put some combinations together which will hopefully happen when Newcastle tire in the second half.

Overall that was a good half. Newcastle are no pushovers and apart from a few chances, we kept them fairly quiet. We could have scored one or two more but they weren’t the clearest of chances based on their stout defending, so no real complaints there.

Every player is playing fairly well, and some could do even better, which is what you want going in to the second half. Phil has been absolutely mercurial (his goal was a thing of strength and beauty) and Rodri has been his usual rock in the midfield.

Pep will make a few tweaks, Kev will no doubt be nearing full calibration, and we will hopefully go up a gear in the second half as Newcastle tire after their cup final exertions.

Here’s hoping this proves prophetic.

Playing well. Everyone battling. Not read any other posts on todays match but if you’re being a negative nobhead then stop it and get a backbone. Something tells me that this will apply to a couple on here.
