Not doing enough for me, Alvarez offers more in a game like this Lascelles hasn’t played regular for ages and Botman is more than capable of matching Haaland for strength need somebody nipping around.

As you say he has to offer more to help Gundo especially, as he’s too easy to read and should have done better with that header too.

All that aside as long as some fucker gets a second for us I’ll be happy.
I have to disagree, Alvarez link up play is not much better than Haalands. I dont see what more he offers in this game, Haaland is doing ok, we need to control the midfield and get the ball to Foden and Grealish in behind the fullbacks.

I think we are playing quite well.

The biggest frustration for keys the number of times our midfielders have had the opportunity to play in Foden or Grealish but have passed it a yard behind them rather than in the space a yard in front.

I think we’ll find our range in the second half and score a couple more.

Just score another one and everything else won't matter. Foden though, was excellent, Grealish, Gundo and Ake very good, Dias surprisingly effective taking the ball forward, Kev played in little quants of quality, but realistically him and Haaland axis hasn't been working for a while. I think Rodri is puzzled with Pep's tinkering at the back. But above all, the first half worth watching for a true world class performance by Foden.

Early second-half goal and I reckon we'll piss it. The longer it stays like this, I could see another Forest/Leipzig result.
Just said the same myself- going out for a walk - nerves kicking in again - somebody text me at 2.25pm that we won 3-0 and I will love you forever

Am just coming on here after watching at the ground and thinking people are a bit negative. We made a few wrong choices on the break, we have to take the what Newcastle give us. They are pressing high and attacking in numbers which could cause us more problems than it is. It gives us chances on the transition, normally Kev is great at this, we need to give him more options than just Haaland. Newcastle are working their socks off, we have to do the same. I'm just hoping for a clean sheet or an early goal in the second half.

English schedule catching up to him possibly..
Properly EPL defenders are getting the measure of him, I think his weakness is his first touch so they wait for it and knock the ball away. It’s why it is better to play the ball into space for him rather than to feet.
