We're playing much better if we could just cut out the silly errors we still have a tendency to keep.making.

A really good performance so far. Gonzalez allowing Gundogan to look far more composed and making a big difference in midfield, which has also made everyone in defence look more assured.
The increased amount of direct play is stopping Newcastle being able to block the short out-ball. If they try, we go more direct, and Haaland and Marmoush have been devastating, with Phil also looking very sharp.

Was always good going forward, but is starting to work just as hard defensively as well.

Demonstrates for me how many people in here don't have a fucking clue what they're talking about. Could hardly believe as I read along that there were people being hypercritical of us in that first 15 minutes.

We were fucking brilliant in the first 15 minutes. This is one of the best attacks in the world right now and they didn't get a sniff, we were in total control. It was easily the best we've played all season.

The only sniff they've had all half came from Gvardiol's error (but he's been great otherwise).

Easy to underestimate how much of a difference Nico's presence and Khusanov's pace is making. Physicality, bodies back, they're making us harder to get through.

Brilliant Omar. Brilliant City.

I thought we were a bit loose for the 1st 10 mins.
