I think we are playing well against a very disciplined Newcastle team who are pressing us very high up the pitch. Rodri, Kovacic and Foden have been excellent. Grealish needs to go more involved and we are missing a man on the right side ahead of Walker.

Grealish needs to improve his left foot, he's too predictable at the moment, he needs to be able to get it on his left and drill that ball across. He too often limps it in with his left foot on the occasion he does go down the outside

Newcastle seemed oddly subdued. They normally go at us to the sound of the trumpets but were strangely cagey in that half. Maybe they think we’ll tire later in the game.

We’re keeping the ball very well and they occasionally switch off and leave us 3 v 3, so a second should present itself.

They can't get near us when we have the ball but when they have it they are patient and do look threatening! We will tire after Wednesday game so we need another goal for the buffer especially with the add on time they add now..

Very good first half. And that's the Foden we want to see!

Not sure why people are given Haaland flack. he looked very lively on that chance he got that went just wide. Get a few more of those balls to him he'll stick one away

but I think people just need something to complain about

unbelievable energy levels from our lads, taking wednesday into account.
If we win tonight what a big fuck off to the premier league for not changing the fixture date
