Why did he never take free kicks before this season?

Good question ?

Deserves a good answer.

He is the best spot kicker going around in the premiership at present since Bale left.

The dip on that ball once it hit its peak was unbelievable - defied Newton's first law of motion almost.

Hate to say it, but Rooney has a very similar and equally excellent free kick technique. Probably the best part of his game these days.

His own goals are pretty special too :)

Damage limitation for Norwich, feel sorry for their fans who made a good 3 and bit hour trip to watch us pass the ball around for an hour and a half, not seen a team play so badly here for a while.
