Kolarov simply isn't good enough for where we want to be, as a 2nd choice? Ye but that's cup games and low level PL games. To the people who are saying he's the new book boy or scapegoat, who would actually want to sign him? I'd be surprised if a champions league side came in for him.
 
Not a bad half from us at all IMO.

Kolarov had a shocker, I'd bring Clichy on for him at half time. I'd be disappointed if Kolarov started the season for us.

Delph's injury was a blow to himself and us, it really ruined the good balance we had in the centre of the park.

First goal, Carvahal shouldn't have been allowed to run at our defence like that. Probably wouldn't have if Delph was still on. Average cross from Bale, behind the two strikers, but that was an unbelievable finish by Benzema. No opposition striker in the Premier League could have done that.

Kolarov has to recognise the threat for the second goal and cover it quicker. I don't think Clichy would have made the same mistake there. That was too easy for Real, it was just one long ball.

Losing a set piece goal is always disappointing, but I'm not surprised after the Roma game. Denayer totally lost Pepe for the goal.

Perspective; this is Real Madrid's strongest eleven.

Clichy on for Kolarov second half, maybe give Garcia a chance replacing Nasri, would be intrigued to see how he'd do.

I'm not sure we should play too many youngsters second half against Real Madrid's strongest eleven, you don't want a hiding.
 
Shocking defending for their third but what's new there? I'm positive we've not practiced corners, either attacking or defending since Pellegrini came here. farcical penalty decision, and just shows how inept this ref is, it's not bias or anything, it's just incompetence.

Sterling is very dangerous upfront even against the best, I can provide that threat in behind for us, especially in games where we are up against it in Europe. can't wait for him to link up with Kun,

Pellegrini seems set on playing Yaya in a 2 in centre midfield which is worrying. Fernando has looked good, just as he did last pre-season.

Sorry mate, I am usually the one being slated for my pretty objective (sometimes frustratingly so) perspective of our club but what you have said is absolutely wrong.

He is a skills player that gets kicked every other dribble, sometimes blatantly. Does he sometimes go down easily? Yes. Does he also get fouled with no punishment enforced? All the time.

To call him a cheat is laughable.

And his handball was absolutely unintentional (he was trying to pull his arm away and push out his chest).
 
We are in need of a top notch defensive coach because pellers has no clue how to organise a back line it's clear to see, shame Mancini couldn't come back and just coach the back four, we would be unstoppable then.
