Very pleased to see the youngsters.

The smile on Mubama when he scored was worth the price of admission, and you can see what a class player Nico is.

Jack looks very sluggish, and Doku has easily been the best out there.

Good to see a couple of the nippers with goals. I was going to say, start making subs now and bring the kids on. There aren't many kids on the bench; Rico, that's about it. Can't class Phil as a kid any more!

A lot more basic forward thinking movement is evident here. Sharper closing down as well. O’Riely looks a natural at left back. Very different tactics from Pep. No idea what half you lot are moaning
about

The MOST important thing for a CB is consistency.

JSP just needs to be part of a winning team and do the simple things well.

And while it is just Salford, and he is playing fine, hopefully he can gain in confidence.

O’Reilly looks like a good player and took his goal well, but you have to wonder whether Simpson-Pusey really is the best centre half we have in the Academy.

Grealish looks unfit and miles off it.

Hopefully McAtee can step it up a bit in the second half.
It’s a bit of a worry that no defender that comes through looks like they can actually defend. All decent enough on ball but we need more than that. I’ve said before that maybe our youth teams have it too easy. They’re winning week in, week out at their level. I admit that I don’t watch them but does them winning easily all the time mean that they never have to do any defending?

Shearer praising Mubama.

No-one knows more about being a centre forward than him, to be fair. I know Mubama got his goal but I thought he’d been a bit shit! Shows i know absolutely fuck all.
He's been quality so far, making decent runs, holding up the ball well and been leading the line very well. Deserved his goal.
