Southampton defending well but we’re often making it easier for them. Walker’s miscontrol just before the break saw the team have to run from the opposition box into our own half. Similarly, Dias played an easy pass beyond Ake’s right and again we had to go all the way back to our own box. We can only exploit their tiredness later if we keep the ball better.

Hot inside the ground. Bloody frustrating, Southampton time wasting and spoiling, Moss needs to book that bloody pink panther in nets. Carved them open a couple of times. Games like this is where we miss a decent centre forward.

Ake slows our build up so much. He's so slow just getting a simple pass.And when he is agressive in defense, he doesn't commit completely, so he basically leaves space behing and he won't tackle the other player.

grealish is playing superb but he beats his man and has nobody to pass to to bang it in.

Grealish and Cancelo have their right-back on toast but no one is making that easy run across the near post when the cross comes in

This game is crying out for a striker. Grealish has put a lot of balls in the box that a striker would finish. False 9 works but these are the games where a striker is needed desperately.
