Not a bad first half, but a couple concerns. We’re too static up front. There were a few opportunities for Jesus to make a progressive run, but he failed to do so. We should be making more of the opportunities created by Cancelo, who has been the outstanding performer so far. Outside of the first 10 minutes or so, Foden hasn’t been involved enough in the game.

Defensively, we keep finding ourselves in 4v4 situations as Spurs’ midfield push through our own. It’s only a matter of time before we concede if this continues. One moment of quality from Son or Moura will do it. Given that we’re currently ahead, I’d be looking to ensure that we had an extra man in those situations.

Not one for immediately jumping in the ref but he is shockingly inconsistent, how Bernardo has been booked but Lamela and Hojberg haven't?

Anyway, decent-ish first half, would like another, Cancelo has been brilliant.

Never a penalty, it should have been a free kick to Spurs (Gundogan landed his foot on the back of Hojberg’s boot), but I’ll take that all day after last week and Hojberg being one of the biggest knob heads in football!
