We've defended well the few times they've got forward, our back four are looking solid.

I think I’d take a cb off and put Gundogan there like he does with fern. What’s the point of having two. Otta having far too much of the ball

Fair play to them (apart from the time wasting), they got Walker booked early (thanks to Mahrez initially) and now have a free out ball to him; he cannot go diving in so has lost a few challenges. They're also looking to drag us over to that side as cover and leave Zinchenko exposed. Both wingers are thus having to keep a close eye on their defensive duties.

Nah Walker not overlapping is the problem on the right. Put Danilo in there and we'd be better

Was just thinking during that half that I don’t once recollect him beating his man by going outside him and then cutting back this season. Has he lost a yard of pace? Or is it instructions from Pep to not leave himself vulnerable? Just don’t know. But whatever, it was a source of constant panic for opposing defences last season.

Teams now just play us with 11 behind the ball, with no intention of attacking, if they can snatch a draw, or just lose by one and keep the goal difference down they seem to be happy. Strangely they rarely do it against Liverpool, both Watford and Bournemouth played a really open game against them.

We have to be more creative in breaking these teams down, more width helps, Sane could make a difference, we could go three at the back as well and put Jesus on.

Hargreaves saying we started slow against Newcastle.

How much do these ****s get paid to give this expert analysis?
