surprised to still see so many of Grealish's shots and passes blocked by the first defender even against lower division opposition. Frustrating.
I am not frustrated with that as much as him consistently holding the ball far too long when he has runners taking up dangerous positions and he could often get the ball back in a one-two with his teammates. He’s either lost the ball unnecessarily or killed all momentum numerous times.

His decision making is what lets him down. He has everything else, including excellent vision, ball control, and particularly short passing ability (which he showed several times when he moved the ball on quickly around the box).

It is fine to hold things up when we need to slow the tempo, regain some control, and look to take the wind out of the opposition sails.

But none of that was necessary in that first half, so it was more him just being slow to make a decision, and thus squandering good positions.

Phil looks the most frustrated by it of his teammates, as he has made numbers dangerous runs that have been ignored because Jack was just not even considering it.

As I said earlier, he needs to be more decisive to get more minutes this season.

Say what you want about Doku’s end product, you can almost never say he wasn’t assertive and quick to make a decision, which can cause chaos that leads to a goal. Savinho is the same, with even better end product.

Nunes has more chance of playing as a winger or even an inverted full back than he does of playing in our midfield.
I agree, but the problem with that is that we can only accommodate him then by taking someone else out of position to play in midfield, and he’s probably not as good in the position that player is vacating. I can’t see him featuring at Newcastle now, so he could be on Champions League duty for the foreseeable.

I think Walker and Stones have been running the game from the back, Grealish and Doku also good, I think the young lads are growing into the game. Braitghwaite looked a bit out of his depth but has settled down well.

Is it just me or does Foden look like he’d rather be somewhere else.
What's actually up with PWF.

Jonny Boy and Kyle controlling the back. Doku stand out, Rico good, bit Doku needs to work on final box delivery. ( yes I know he scored...).

Please can we have some long into the box corners. And oh for a quick transition.

Bit overall not bad.

Hope we'll see some subs soon. No need for Walker to go another full 90. Doku can come off at some point, too.

Nice goal that, thanks

He's not a happy bunny though...
