Whole week to work on a system, just as at Wolves, and again it’s slow and ponderous.

Too many players sat on top of each other, and too many players making the same run, or not even bothering to run. Walker’s late cross saw 3 players all waiting for the cut back: one has to gamble and get across the keeper.

I'd give it another 20 minutes and then take off Jesus for Bernardo.

So little space, occasionally getting through but choosing the wrong option.

Wing back and wingers seem to be occupying same space but that might just be to the fact so many squeezed in around the area.

Mahrez still lacking confidence would be lovely for him to curl one in from the edge of the box.

Need to keep running at them and doing one touch passing but hard when we have been so slow and sloppy.

Not seen the bench but presume b.silva may be an option ?

Very clear problem here for me. The left hand side is too overloaded in possession. When Silva is on the left of midfield in the half space and Mendy moves inside things get way too congested unlike on the right with Walker as Fernanindho drops slightly behind instead of taking up the RCM position. Not enough fluidity and too much structure for a pep side today.

How does Mahrez not get to take free kicks is beyond me. What has Aguero shown that he has the mastery over it? Aguero and Silva just pulling rank over him.

Very Pep first season feels with the chopping and changing every game

76% possession and they’ve had 1 shot on target. Not good enough really. We switched off and got punished.
Yet again, poor finishing has let us down.
The fat Spanish bus driver will be ecstatic with that so far.
We CANNOT afford to be this sloppy in defence OR in front of goal.

its not just poor finishing its poor defending as well....yes we miss chances but we give away such easy chances to the opposition to score...much like Peps first season
