This game is probably better practice for the league season than our other games due to West Ham being more akin to our likely typical opposition

We look very stodgy as a result of Pep using this game for a pure positional training. Danilo is a very good and smart player indeed. And we finally got ourselves a hard-core sweeper-keeper.

Although a little boring we are in total control. Our defence looks really solid.

Great work rate from all the lads and a good practice for us this.

You can tell nobody wants to pick up an injury so close to the start. That goes for West Ham too although zabba never plays that way

Only weakness I see is our final touch or shot. Just hope we solve that come the season and we will be top all season. (I'm sure I have said this the last few seasons though)

A few changes second half needed and at least 2 more city goals will do.

Looking good for the new season blues

Danilo has certainly impressed again, reminds of Zab about 3 years ago.

I enjoyed Ederson coming out like that, it will cost us occasionally, but it will add far more than it gives away.

KdB looks hungry.

Back 3, first time I've ever felt confident about us playing it, I know they haven't done much, but it does look to have a bit of something about it.

If Bernardo play second half he also can be a little off pace, he just returned from vacation. I think that part of the extended vacation he had, was because of the Portugal games, but also to recover fully from his ankle injury.

Very comfortable but we're lacking any intensity and not really created much. This is where i think 3-5-2 falls a bit short against teams that we're so dominant against. Take a centre back off, Get Walker on, Danilo switch to left back and push Sane right up. Get Sterling on for one of the strikers and go to the formation we saw last season. With a sitting midfielder and 3 centre backs we've got players not really doing much when in possession which must be about 80% of the time today, we can afford to push one further up

Silva seems a little off the pace, hopefully this is getting him back up to speed..

Like to see the apprentice second half, could be tasty!
In 2-3 months the 'apprentice' will be seen as the better option. I honestly believe that. No dig on Dave, just Bernardo is that good.
