It’s not in the rules that you HAVE to benefit from it to be called offside. You have to either be in active play (he was), interfere with an opponent OR gain an advantage by being there. People are making rules up to be aggrieved about it. He was offside. The only reasonable argument is surrounding phases of play. I don’t know at what point you are supposed to determine it’s a new phase and the offside is irrelevant.
Problem is it wasn’t ruled offside to start. The whole play kept going. We then score and it gets checked. What if Porto countered and scored? Does the play come back because Porto scored? No. Then it should have counted for us

Yes and nothing against him at all he did just bury one as many pointed out. He’s just not a physical presence who can compete for every crap ball the team is deciding to fire in there. And my goodness if he we been aimlessly pumping them in Zinchenko especially although the alternative seems to be him and Bernardo exchanging places at the edge of their box
