We’re absolutely petrified of losing the ball to the extent that we are rarely willing to pass the ball forwards.

The problem is that Madrid are countering the fuck out of us even playing this conservative shite. Might as well take a risk and try and score.

Doku for Kovacic for me and give them something to think about.

I know it’s been said a thousand times but our transfer business off the back of the treble has done us this season. Kovacic is not the answer and project Nunes and Doku not ready to make the required step up in a game like this. If we can keep it to within 1 goal I’m confident we will do them at home. Huge improvement required 2nd half.

Honestly thought this was going to be Foden's night. Too easy to defend against when our only tactic is to get it to our number ten to thread it to Haaland. Our wingers are good in possession but not the players to run at and beat fullbacks.

They haven't had a single shot that had a chance of going in that wasn't the result of a deflection. And one of those was going a mile wide.

We arent playing well, but its far from disaster.

Great start but frankly, really poor since. Nothing happening upfront, Rodri having his worse game of the season and that is not good. Phil pretty poor as well.
Wide open all that 1st half and Akanji having a mare too.
Haaland losing out to Rudiger every time and his control when it comes up to him makes Alvarez look like Messi.
Pep needs to have a rethink about this, we've caused them no trouble at all and Kova keeps falling over.
Thing is though, we were pretty meh in the 1st half last year as well and turned it round 2nd half so we can do it again.
