Ota was definitely tough. Did it stop a shot on target though? Yes. Would I want that as a penalty for us if the roles were reversed? Yes.

I'm.not sure. There was no intent to handle the ball. All his intent was to hide his hand. I mean his arm was in motion when the ball hit, but it damn near was close to his body.

I wouldn't have given it. Nor would I have complained if we didn't. But, I'll grant you that most here would have whined if such wasn't given to us :)

That one was wierd. Even if Laporte had fouled the guy he jumped with, it was irrelevant coz Schalke had the ball for 6 seconds afraf that passing it around them made mistake. I don't know what they were checking.

It seems the refs don't understand how replay works yet :(

They need to hire American sport refs. We've been using VAR in Basketball and Football for a while.

They were looking to try & find a reason to disallow the goal imo.

It stinks.

The sports you mention lend themselves more to v.a.r. imo.

But the problem with football is that the officials are influenced/biased/bent & always have been.

You are on record now, as saying every time it hits soneone on the arm, it's a pen & when it isn't I'm going to keep reminding you, over & over & over & over again.

You can do whatever you like. I’m on record as reposting IFABs change in the interpretation. I also said “when the ball is heading at goal”. There can also no longer be accidental handball goals from attackers either.
