First pen a maybe, maybe not. Second one stupid but what I find strange is the fact the ref is constantly talking to someone or being spoken to. Very odd.

makes you wonder how the ref can concentrate with someone speaking to him all the time, no wonder he's missed a lot

What is really worrying me about VAR is not the penalty decisions but the way they went back to check on the build up to our goal, it was like they were just looking to find a reason to disallow it. Are they going to review every key decision and goal?
If so the game will have at leat 10 minutes of injury time.
And how far can they go back? Wouldn’t surprise me if they pick something from 10 minutes earlier that was missed and claim it would have changed the entire course of action.

Terrible penalty decision. Otamendi's arm is in a natural position & tries to move it out of the way.

First of all whoever the twat ex ref is on BT Sport is a prick. It was not a penalty. The 2nd one was a penalty.
We will smash these 2nd half and there are some right fair weather cnuts on here, I'd rather you fucked off.
Its Peter Fucking Walton of course hes a twat!!!!!!!!

Never, ever, ever a fucking penalty. Peter what is Otta.. Neo from the Matrix? a ninja? Mindful enough in the 0.4 of a seconds that the ball travels through the air to time his cheating antics to precision what a heap of bull... oh well... we move on. Please stuff these shit houses second half please lads. Please. Do it for me and do it for Peter fucking Walton.

The law is as follows:
A direct free kick is awarded if a player commits any of the following offences:
  • handles the ball deliberately (except for the goalkeeper within their penalty are
  • The only debate is was it deliberate? My view is no.
True but there is also a proviso that says even if not deliberate if the hand is in an unactural position then it can still be an offence The ref booked Otamendi so he decided that it was deliberate
There’s only one person who knows if it was deliberate and only an expert in bio mechanics can decided it was unnatural

Actually did well when he reffed. Barring the yellow, and letting the game go a bit out of control, he’s been alright.
Think the ref has done ok, gave goal/ didn’t give pen ( could be argued either way) bollocks var decision. 2nd pen foul absolutely and he called it, var didn’t overule for the obvious offside. The twunts in the caravan are corrupt.

Zero consistency from UEFA officials. How did it take nearly 3 mins to decide the 1st pen? I thought he was supposed to review it himself on the tv? Not just be totally overturned?????

Take our chances and we will win this.
