Still think we'll win, anything less than 3 pts today will be hugely disappointing.

I think we have to win, simple as that.

If Arsenal win tomorrow and we draw or lose then they go 8-9 points in front, they come to us next weekend and if they beat us that could see us out the title race, I can't see us climbing back from being 10+ points behind, not when Chelsea are title contenders as well.

Lallana and Shaw have been excellent. These are a good side, we need to get a another man in midfield and we can win this. A draw wouldn't be a disaster but we have to show some metal and win a few games when we aren't playing well.

We have been outplayed. Can't get near them. Deserve to be losing.

We are being outplayed.

But not because they are so good, but because we are playing such utter shite.

They get the ball, pass it around, build up pressure and make chances. We get the ball hoof it forward and give it back to them again.

This is self inflicted. I am not taking anything away from Soton, they are decent. But we are making them look better than they are.

Bit of both. They have played well since the goal, we have been shit. Pretty much the same as happened every time we've played a decent team that presses over the past 18 months or so - our game just disintegrates. As you say, so many fucking aimless long balls forward, no-one showing the balls to get on the ball and actually play. Games like this that we miss Silva even more than usual.

the solution is to play the diamond .

nasri in the hole. two strikers up front. milner and toure as CM and fernandinho as DM.

but i think pellegrini will just change milner for navas in the second half which is a risk because navas is even worse than milner in defence.
