From the BBC which seems a fair summary

BBC Sport's Alistair Magowan: "Manchester City should have been ahead on more than one occasion with Yaya Toure and Edin Dzeko wasting two close-range headers but boss Manuel Pellegrini won't be too concerned as his side's influence on the game grows. They will need to be mindful of conceding too many free-kicks, though, Plzen's captain Pavel Horvath has a wand of a left foot and he has caused plenty of concern already."

The 2 man midfield is still not working. We need 3 in there without doubt.

I think it's been a very slow tempo (again) and Mancini is still running through us like the writing in a stick of rock.

Plzen are fucking shite. If we cant beat these we may as well give up imo.

Great half from us. It isn't easy to dominate any team away from home in Europe. If Edin hadn't missed that sitter then it would have been a near perfect half.

Aguero fans protecting Aguero and slagging off Dzeko, who's been superior in every single way to their golden midget. What else is new?
58% passing accuracy to 78%, how is that "superior"?

our best european half i've seen in 3 years. entirely serious. far the better side terribly unlucky with finishing

Just what i was thinking, we are bossing the game and looking to win it. With a touch of luck Aguero's, Dzeko and Yaya could all of had a goal each.

It could easily have been 3:0 at half time and it would look a completely different picture, to be fair to Plzen they have worked very hard and time will tell if they can keep it up for the next 45 mins.

For one i think this is a good performance away from home to a dangerous if unfashionable side.

Aguero's clearly the weak link in this team.

Number of times he tried to dribble in to the goal. Only passes when there is absolutely no chance he can score. Too selfish for the football at this level. Jovetic or Negredo in please.

Give it a rest. All you and your tiresome compatriots care about is Dzeko which is why you want Aguero off since he doesn't instantly give the ball to Dzeko.

Well, they have a case though.

Actually - you can replace "instantly" with "never", and "Dzeko" with "Anyone".

Once Aguero gets the ball - you can only hope he takes it the whole way (which is not happening) - cause sure as hell no more interplay is taking place.

Sergio's got the beating of the defenders, and he's been direct. Looks the more likely to score, don't see the problem.

He has a 78% passing accuracy to Dzeko's 58%

Phew, please tell that to Edin's pal, EaglesFan...might finally shut him up!1

I would have 100% pass accuracy if I never passed the ball like Aguero, who by the way is playing "behind striker".
