Lack of a proper pre-season really affecting us. Fitness levels are not there yet. Lots of players lacking sharpness. Sloppy passing, giving away possession too frequently.

The better performers are the ones that had little break (Mahrez and Jesus). Walker looks more focused than last season also.

I fear that the Spurs game might be coming too early into the season. We absolutely need to win this in order to give ourselves a little leeway at WHL.

We’re playing at the Etihad, and we have not even seen Spurs play so I would not be worried about them.

Because they are pissing about rather than passing it.

He is rarely offside when they get the ball, unless he is coming back.
This.

Gabby had a few excellent runs that were completely ignored, leading to him being offside when the ball was actually played (far too late).

Our low speed of thought (and sluggish pressing) is almost entirely responsible for the “sloppy” play in the first half.

Wonder if Dean will point out way in the second half?

Performance rusty but well on top, a second goal will finish the game.

Don't know if it's my picture but the ball seems to be lagging on the ground (hope I've not gone full Klippy).

Looks like we're easing ourselves into season. One or two nice bits of play so far but also some rustiness evident. Hopefully another goal early second half to ease the nerves a bit.
