Haaland can’t play as a winger, doesn’t mean he’s crap. These guys are humans not cogs in a machine. You can’t chop and change their position all the time
I dont disagree but as a top level professional you should be able to adapt which none can do! As for Haaland not sure what he is atm!

If only we had a creative genius on the bench like cherki
The problem is beyond 1 player's creativity. its a general turgid playstyle. We are a better off team when both Haaland and Semenyo aren't both starting. They are the 2 best goal scorers on the team but together we are significantly a worse team.

Second. the vision from midfield is putrid!

Semenyo is the problem. He’s seeing lots of the ball but it either bounces off him or he turns back.
I have to be honest, I’m in the transfer forum last summer saying we should sign him, and whilst I knew he wasn’t great technically, I didn’t realise just how bad he is!

He’s the sterling of the group, getting on the end of things alls forgiven, goals dry up and your left with very little.

Personally I always felt he was best of the left, and it’s the role he’s played least since he’s arrived.

Is it just me but when watching certain other teams they seem fluid and comfortable enough all over the pitch in their play and know their position and job, looking at us it all seems forced and disjointed ..

Donnarumma keeps making costly mistakes when dealing with corners. He often comes out to punch the ball but misses it, which leads to unnecessary goals. His command of set pieces, especially when attempting to punch the ball, has been a recurring weakness.
Can some goalkeeping coach ruddy well TRAIN him? For someone so large he's useless on corners. Yes, he's not bad at saving penalties but you don't face them every week.

At least Traff will play at Wembley next week when we play illegal corner fc.

This looks like so many City games. Copy and paste, we've seen it all before. Where's the excitement?
With Arsenal winning, it's 3 points or bust. Sort it out in the second half City, up the tempo, show some urgency. If not, that's it

We’ve completely dominated but it’s only half the story.

We’ve created next-to-nothing. We’ve got a midfield 3 who don’t really create, I mean it’s not exactly KDB and David Silva in there. So then I’m looking to our wide men and they don’t create anything either. Semenyo and Marmoush (who has been particularly shite) don’t have a decent 1st touch between them. On paper it looks like we have a real dynamic and threatening front 3 but in reality it can’t work with the 3 that are behind them.

I really don’t understand our transfer strategy. We are still trying to play like a Pep team, with personnel that aren’t good enough to play it. We just look like a neutered version of what’s gone before. I actually think we would be better off playing super direct, our front 3 has Klopp style written all over it.

We look a bit clueless, like Pep and Viana have completely different strategies.
Completely agree...been saying this for a while......

Semenyo, Mamroush are very strange buys...technically not good enough and more to the point dont fit into this team...neither can play as a 10, neither are wide men.....so they have to play close to Haaland which nullifies him.

We havent got a right back and only one recognised left back

our best player this season is Bernardo Silva.....and he is off int he summer which is vey worrying when you look at Viannas record so far......

How many of Viannas transfers so far can you classify as a definite success????
