Deal gets done between 30-40. If Chelsea had quoted 50 and actually meant it City would have walked.

Also don’t understand some of the reactions, we paid over 40 for Phillips and most said at the time that it was a good back up squad option. Kovacic is so much better. Think this lad will shock a lot of people when they see how good he is in a Pep side.

Actually quite excited to see how he plays in our team.

He's a quality player and always has been but he's spent most of his career either in a dysfunctional Chelsea side or as a young player on the fringes of one of the best European sides of all time.

I'm not surprised he wants to join us. This could be the last opportunity for him to get the recognition his talent deserves.
