It was reported that Pep sees Kovacic as a 6 and an 8. It was also reported that his signing has nothing to do with Gundo and Bernardo’s futures. I doubt KP is leaving… but I do think Pep wants more depth in that midfield.I wonder if he isn’t a potential Rodri back-up, with Pep not convinced by KP yet. Plus, if KP comes good, and Gundo does go, allowing Kovacic to play in there, then KP is an excellent back up for both of them.
Remains to be seen who leaves and stays. Laporte and Cancelo are the only two guaranteed in my book.
