Lol we had their pants down on sterling

Considering the extortionate fees Chelsea have paid since Boehly arrived I'm not so sure... I think it's evident we could've asked for £65m-£70m really, and no doubt Mr expert negotiator would've come back with an offer of £80m

Kovacic is not Gündoğan's replacement? Then perhaps he is Bellingham's alternative.
Kovacic playstyle is closer to Bernardo than Gundo tbf, but as recent reports suggests, Kova isn’t related to Gundos future. Kovacic was added for depth apparently.

Dry market to lose both Bernardo and Gundogan though.

Guardiola sees him as a No 8 — one of City’s attacking midfielders, like Gundogan or Bernardo — rather than a holding midfielder.

The City boss is a fan of Kovacic’s ability to wriggle out of tight spots even under pressure

Wow Im in shock, hes a replacemnt for either Gundo or Bernardo.
More like Bernardo it sounds like, very press resistant, not very dangerous in the final third and very, very tenacious in his pressing. Needs Mac Allister in the final third..

That is a good move for us and an good alternative to Jude Bellingham. Hopefully it is not at the expense of either Bernie or Gundo (although I am not that confident we will keep both for another season)

Report suggest it has no effect on Gundo and Bernardo. They could leave of but he won’t replace either, according to Scam Lee
