I agree with Tolmie, incredible for an 18 year old but one glaring issue is a severe lack of pace, the last game he played in (I think it was his last game) he was chasing an opposition player back to our goal, he looked like he was running in treacle...he could be one of those players who is good/very good at a lot of things but not outstanding in ONE ?

My feeling is Kovasic is the next 2-3 years Gundo as Rico grows more into the role.
Gundo has no pace to speak of either, but never needed it playing where he does.

Have noticed Kov several times when he's been playing or come on for Chelsea. Performance seems to up when he does.
Think it's a great signing.

I only really watch City nowadays due to not having enough time on my hands but i always thought he was just a DM!

From what I’ve always seen mate, Chelsea seemed to have used him pretty deep and in a more defensive role more often than not, and in a way, that has skewed some peoples perception of him, he’s capable of much more.
He’d have been my choice to replace Ilkay so obviously I think the club have got it spot on.

I remember similar perceptions of a certain Barça player who joined us a decade ago. We all know that Pep's view of him will be very different and will fully deliver what he can do in our team. I am excited to see his drives through the midfield unlocking many defensive positions.
