And to your first point. Fair enough. I'm not trying to ride Rice's meat but what I will say, is pay extra attention to him in Arsenals matches this year. You will see he has no weakness. Possesses far more qualities than a traditional #6. Leader. Can invert in CB. Can play the 8. Press proof. Line breaking dribbler and passer. Top level control. Can crunch a man in the tackle. Recovery speed is also top notch. Reads the game with the best of em. He can do everything you would want if you created a number 6 at an elite level. But yeah, keep an eye on him this season and decide for yourself. He is an analytical darling for the data diggers which is what inspired me to take a deep dive into him as a player. So so good.

I kind of had that opinion with gundogI don't get all the hype about Nunes, yes he's a good honest midfielder nothing more nothing less, he wont make us any better than what we are. He wont improve us that much going off those video clips ive seen, we'll be no different with or without him. If Phillips got his act together he'd on par with him.

In fact there was a period of time I thought he was our worst player.
But bloody hell what a good player he turned out to be. Not flashy but just a good solid reliable performer who could play in multiple positions
His football intelligence stood out. I think that’s why pep wanted him and I kind of think that’s why he wants this fella

To be fair, Gündogan was a key player for years in one of the 8 best teams in Europe (at the time), a Dortmund side that had won the Bundesliga and got to a CL final. Nunes comes from a mediocre (not bad) season in Wolves, which is his only season in any of the 5 big leagues, after just 1 season as a regular starter in Portugal. Not sure there is much of a comparison except they both play in midfield.I kind of had that opinion with gundog

I'm not particularly convinced about Nunes since he has never impressed much when I've seen him, and I was hoping we would sign someone else.
With that said, we are running out of options and need to sign someone. If we do sign him he will have my full support and I hope Pep can make him look like a City level player!
