I think there's a big chance this doesn't get done.

Wolves want £60m and we won't go near that (for some reason) in terms of paying the full £60m. If we would then there would be an agreement by now and Nunes wouldn't be on strike. Seems we're trying to pay a smaller amount plus an academy player and Wolves haven't accepted.

If no agreement with Nunes that I think we go with the squad we have - poor Rodri.
We will go close to that. 55+5 in add-ons (according to Tolmie 1 hour ago). I think Wolves want 60m up front and refuse to budge. Now that Nunes is on strike, I think they will likely budge in the end, and we will get him.

Not sure on that.

Think they will be more likely to be angry with the player and so stand their ground.

Maybe because they value him more than the market does. We value him as per the market and a bit more. That's their prerogative.

But they and the player will lose out of they continue trying to get as much out of City as they can and ultimately could lose big time... no money and a disgruntled player.

Id say that's a recipe for it going ahead. Imo

I think 55+ add ons is reasonable and doable.I don’t see what’s the hold up is about ? i’m sure city has 60 m ready if they really want up front payment .

No one is ignoring it. The get most right most of the time but saying base stuff like I'll go with pep on this one is ignoring the reasons people may differ and not want him...ar least come up with a counter argument of your own.

And for the record just in case I'm not against going for Nunes
You may of missed my counter argument.
Pep, Txiki etc. know far more than anyone on here so I trust their judgement over your or anyone else on here.
Guess what if I want financial advice I consult my accountant who is a paid professional, not @simon23 on bluemoon, no offence ;)

Careful Mars, facts dont work to well for some of the mystic megs on here who can forsee a player's conduct before it happens based on a couple of tweets.
I just hope people will get behind him, whether they agree with his methods or not. If he joins us, I think he deserves a clean slate, like every other City player. People like to forget that Atletico was also upset with Aguero and his conduct when he pushed to leave. I don't get how people live in the real world without occasionally doing what Nunes is doing at work or in personal relationships. I will use my own example. I am 30, and I have done plenty. If I am a **** for going after what I want, so be it. I am doing my best. I always try to be polite, even on here, never told anyone to fuck off, and I am caring towards the people that care about me. We are all doing our best. I believe that at Man City, we treat our people well, and that's why Mahrez or Aguero never caused us any problems. Therefore, they reciprocated. I think that's why Nunes is upset with Wolves. He got tricked because he is naive and made a judgment error with the release clause. Right now, he is simply worried that his dream move is in danger, so he is doing everything he can to make it happen. I understand that some people disagree with his methods. Perhaps it's not the best course of action. I understand him, though, since I am not a saint, and I don't think anyone here is one either. Tolmie mentioned he got advice from Mendes as well. It is what it is, and hopefully, he will join us soon, so we can all focus on the football.
