However, in a new story from newspaper Record, it’s now claimed that the clubs actually spoke about Matheus Nunes in a lunch between officials last week.

It’s said Sporting’s Frederico Varandas and Hugo Viana had a meal with Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain at Pep Guardiola’s restaurant Tast Catala. There, among many subjects, they had an ‘informal’ mention to the midfielder.

They want £30m for the lad, wonder if Porro deal would come into the mix and knock that down to 20 ish.

Why do so many people on here insist on downgrading almost everyone we are linked to? This kid is like a young Bernardo...great technical skills and very good vision with a wide passing range...Pep has spoken very highly of him publicly...thank God supporters aren't making personnel decisions...

Doesn't seem like a DM, but if we continue playing with more of a midfield 2, then I'd be happy with him.
