Pep is a nice person and usually say nice things about our opponent and their players. I'm sure he rates Nunes, but if he really thought he was one of the best in the world we would probably have bought him last summer instead of buying Kalvin Phillips for a similar amount.

I've no argument against that, but I don't see how Nunes is a better player than McAllister or Szoboslai or Caicedo.

He probably isn't, but the other 3 are long gone. Caicedo for mad money, too. Still a great Pep player, IMO. We need someone like him right now. Whereas I am happy waiting for a top player such as Wirtz, Pep thinks he can turn Nunes into a world-class CM, so that's good enough for me. We will go for Wirtz next year.
