Nunes has been playing in a terrible Wolves side - what is he supposed to do? Ignore the manager and just try to take everyone on? Pass glory balls to players who aren't good enough to read the pass?

By Christmas we'll have them all saying what a bargain we had etc. The club have barely made a mistake in the transfers we've done so I suspect the ones who've bought the player know him, what he's capable of and will be IMMENSE once he plays for us.

FFS I honestly wonder at times if Pele, Maradona and Cryuff were available we'd still get people saying that they aren't as good as Palmer, Bobb and some other 12 year old we've got! :D

Well said... I'm sure it's been mentioned previously as well but I'm sure it didn't help that he had to play under FOUR different managers in under a year's time ffs.

Spot on mate - who wants to play for a club where they don't know who the manager will be in 2 weeks time. They play shit football as well and need to go down. Imagine a player like Nunes having to try to grind out 1-0 wins each week, it must bore the living shit out of you!

Nunes is a footballer and Pep ALWAYS improves players who can play, it's absolutely as simple as that!

Didn't realise that, although I probably should have.
It's most likely an overlooked, and very pertinent point.

Can't be easy continually attempting to learn differing styles, formations and systems.

He's no more a defensive mid than Silky was, he's just as much of a box to box player. Although I have reservations about whether he's good enough to replace Silky.

Txiki was at the Champions League draw yesterday and there was no way this could go through without the obligatory 'Txiki photo'. Hopefully he didn't get stuck at the airport on the way back with all the air traffic control issues.

That’s a great video and makes sense. Gives city a few options depending on the opposition. Very good Gundo comparison. High energy and very good at beating the press.

Foden will play a 10 or on the wing over the course of the season.

Same with Doku, more weapons and unique skill set that we will need to either break teams who sit deep or for those teams vulnerable to quick turn over and counters.
 
Pep will bring out the best in this player with time and discipline he can be one of the best in the world. Just needs to listen and learn
