Matija Nastasic or Joleon Lescott?

Nastasic every day of the week. Big teams use defenders who are very good with the ball. lescott is terrified when with the ball and can't start the play from deep as good as nasty. nastasic is also by far the better defender when being one on one with the striker. Lescott is better for high balls but if we play our game and don't give teams like stoke time to cross we won't have a problem. i wouldn't play a defender over another one because he is better only for high balls. Nasty (if he avoids some injury and he continues like that) and kompany may well create the best center back pairing in the world.

exactly this, ball playing team i think mancini wants both central defenders to be calm on the ball.

was skeptical at first but hes brilliant nasty, do feel for lescott abit though

Would prefer to keep both although I'm prepared to accept the club management may see differently in the context of the bigger picture. An impending transfer perhaps or FFP? For whatever reason Lescott seems to be well out of favour.

Mancini first and foremost should want both central defenders to defend and defend well against all types of opposition.Nasti is probably just ahead overall at the moment but against the big lumps Lescott wins hands down.

Lescott for me against Stokes giants i'm afraid, Lescotts not as bad with ball as some on here would have us believe. 93 scored last season 29 conceded this season just over half way in 38 scored 19 conceded looking at the league table is a good indication of just how good a TEAM is.

Everyone banging on about how good Lescott is in the air, well Crouch is better in the air than Aguero but doesn't mean I want him to play instead. I feel more confident when Nasty has the ball and I like the fact he always try's to play forward instead of lescott who just passes back to joe or vinny. And he hasn't made many defensive errors, infact he's been the most consistent defender this season along with zab.

And ... Looked pretty good to me. Much more assured at the back as a team with Lescott. Lescott overcomes a weakenss - all 3 of Norwich's goals came fropm set plays. When Lescott isn't around we aren't simply strong enough in the air so Lescott fulfills a vital role. A better match

Partly due to the performances of our CBs. I think we look more comfortable with Lescott in the team.
