Weird moment to recreate the pose that ended his marriage, on national TV.
Is it that, or are the only people left watching reality tv those people now?
I tick all those boxes too. That’s ageist. I’m old and didn’t vote for Katie Hopkins or Matt Hancock. Come to think of it I don’t watch celebrity either.
If the proposed media career fails to materialise, given what may transpire from the covid enquiry, he could always do what the disgusting Hamiltons did, and the vile Anne widdecombe did, and pitch up as a new recruit to ukip/reform - whatever farage’s latest group of loonies and cranks is called- and get lots of air time spouting crap that he may or may not actually believe in but gets him on telly and keep him in the public eye.Interesting analysis on Radio 4 this morning. Basically saying great result for him in name recognition and being known for more than just being a disgraced Tory minister. But what can he do with his enhanced profile, his constituents will not be impressed and neither will many Tory MPs. Wile tories have been let back in after similar things previously the current leadership have a big majority and are not likely to need his vote - so its unclear how he ever gets back in the party. And if he did his re-election very much in doubt. Can he become a celeb ex MP - unlikely given the nature of his demise.
I have no idea where he thinks he his heading - maybe he has an eye on Portillos TV giggs and thinks he can do something like that. But I just don't think he gets it how much people hate him.If the proposed media career fails to materialise, given what may transpire from the covid enquiry, he could always do what the disgusting Hamiltons did, and the vile Anne widdecombe did, and pitch up as a new recruit to ukip/reform - whatever farage’s latest group of loonies and cranks is called- and get lots of air time spouting crap that he may or may not actually believe in but gets him on telly and keep him in the public eye.
He strikes me as a very vain man so anything could happen.
