Matthijs de Ligt

This doesn’t show fuck all except that Spurs are also a very good side and that its very difficult to win a Champions League. Football is a team sport last I checked and the fact that Ajax lost a game doesn’t change that he’s a mature kid who carries himself well. Watch his speech at Ajax’s victory parade for a good example.

I’ll remind you that we also blew it against Spurs, is Vinny not a leader now?

Exactly my thoughts.

You’ve got two accounts and are arguing with yourself mate.

Time for a big lie down.

Former Ajax forward Ronald De Boer: “It’s a very good team [PSG] with great players. It’s a team that does not play like he’s [Matthijs De Ligt] used to, it’s different, philosophy is important... If you ask me, I prefer Barça or Manchester City.”

There you have it,it will be for money not football

That’s hilarious, would strongly encourage an admin to look into it. I’m just going to assume you don’t have any actual response to my post.

Quite the tag team and as see through as fuck

Another kid going for the money again, you must be so proud
He has not signed yet and nothing came from that meeting letting think he is on the brink of signing .

However, i don't understand your point. "I must be so proud" ?
Should i feel bad or ashamed because one of the top prospect of the game may join my club ?
I think i should feel excited and hopeful he helps us attain our goals , should he sign.
I support my club and anything good happening to my club is a bonus as a fan.

Think its a bit odd when City fans use the same insults for PSG , they complain about fans of other clubs using about us.

@Parisian Apologies if covered but how are you guys doing this with FFP? I thought last season you were having issues to the point where it was speculated that you’d have to sell first before signing anyone. I don’t understand how we could be having issues if you are not.
Well have to sell before we buy.
That is absolutely correct.

PSG is in talks to sell prospects like Weah , Nsoki, Nkunku, Meunier.
Those players are easier to offload than some useless players that are being paid more. Obviously, the latter ones want to enjoy their paycheck. It is the drawback when well paid players are not succeeding.

Edit : i would add that PSG should not sign anybody before the 1st July. Not only it will be a new accounting year but we can't unveil our new players with the old sponsor shirt. We can only use the new shirt with the new sponsor after June.

We are not the same at all,we haven't distorted the market and kids don't get topwack for just turning up,they have to earn better contracts,we are also the league where they have to work their bollocks off for 10 mths, here there is 4 comps and intense competition, not like paris at all,you go there for money and an esay life, let's get real

I think we all know that, but it doesn't stop Txiki from having a strategy. I do believe he is a man who likes to stick to his principles, quite like Arsene Wenger, regardless of how much money he had to spend.

I am sure Sheikh Mansour would back the club 100% if they wanted to purchase someone who they thought could turn out to be a special player within a few seasons.

I am sure the money was available if they wanted to buy Van Dijk as we saw on the documentary, but they didn't want to pay that much and decided to go for plan B instead, Aymeric Laporte.
I think the simple fact is we have our valuation and let all and sundry know we'll walk away if they ask for amounts that are way beyond our figures.
De ligt looks a fantastic prospect BUT if we have made it clear we won't be dealing with Raiola then so be it.
We went through the Yaya years knowing each summer his agent would threaten to leave and it got boring and turned into a circus.
We are in a position where players should want to play for us.
We have proved that we will give players new contracts should their performances warrant it ie, Bernardo, Ederson and Laporte.
Lucrative contracts should be earned or we will lose much of the team spirit we have spent years building.
As Txiki, Soriano and Pep have said they want players who WANT to play for the club not those who are here solely for the money. We've done that but it's not a sustainable business model.

Good post but the OP isn't listening. No point banging your head on a brick wall.

After that declaration of love i must say i'm absolutely proud.

Hope my answer will give you some happiness.

I completely agree with most points, I don't want De Ligt anyway if he wants 350k a week, I've made that clear. Our business model can still be very good even with the odd big signings here and there. As mentioned, the transfer fees don't bother me as much, it's the wages that we need to keep control of. You only breach the wage structure on someone very special like Mbappe who is worth every penny.

The main point I'm making is, if a player like Mbappe comes available and he hands in a transfer request, will City turn round and say that they aren't being dragged into a bidding war for him? That is where I feel we can be financially flexible when the time is right.
