A few weeks back, there was a rumour that spread from twitter that CFG was in talks with Nexen Tire to basically do in Korea what we did in Japan with Nissan. The club then came out and denied it and the rumours disappeared. Someone - in this thread, even, I think - found an old message that seemed to be from City trying to arrange a meeting with Nexen Tire back in 2013, probably just about sponsorships, and it's my belief that someone else found that message, fabricated a story based off it, and posted to twitter. That's only my take on it though.

It's worth noting that City denied any intent to buy an MLS franchise four months before we announced NYCFC, but all the same, the club have denied that this is happening.

The club also denied that they where interested in buying WSW in Sydney after the media ran the story.. It turned out that it was a Melbourne team instead

True, but just because we deny some things which are actually true doesn't mean that everything we deny must now be fact. Besides, even in the cases of those rumours we denied and then acted on, there's usually about a 6 month wait before anything actually happens, so I don't think we should hold our breaths.

Might not mean much to many but for those in the US so far , there's an app called NGSN(Next Generation Sports Network) that will start broadcasting J-League games starting this Sunday. Finally a legal way to watch the league and many others in the US. Subscription is $8.99 a month.

Great way to follow the under the radar member of CFG.

Can watch for free on bet365.com.

Need to keep £10 in the account. Not sure that works in USA or not.

Although to be fair, sometimes watching this seasons Marinos for free seems overpriced.
