MCFC documentary on tonight (22/3/17)

I completely agree. Keegan was a complete breath of fresh air at City. His promotion campaign was probably my most enjoyable season except for 2012. He was the first person in a position of authority at the club with any ambition and positivity in about 30 years! I remember his first press conference he said that City should be one of the top 5 clubs in the country, people laughed at him then, we were in the 2nd division, now look at us!

I don't think his comments about Maine Rd were in any way meant to be disrespectful, he was just trying to be positive about the new stadium and the opportunities it brought with it. No doubt about it that we would not be in the position we are now if we'd stayed at Maine Rd. As much as I loved the place and often wish we were still there, the Aguero moment would never have been possible if we'd stayed, so it was all worth it. I think that was why Keegan said the new stadium would be so much better - because of the potential opportunities it brought with it.

Agree. I had the luck to spend some time with Keegan and talked to some of the staff at the club at the time about his impact. To a person they said from the first day he arrived he had one message for everyone. 'This place is nothing without the fans, none of us have jobs without our fans. Everything we do should be aimed to make them happy.' More than any manager in my time at least he understood the connection between the club and the fan base.

Someone who can help record IT on DVD or CD? I pay all the cost And for work. Send pm. Giftbfor an old 72 yo fan.

Me and a few mates were staying in the midland on the night of the last game of the season we were promoted under Keegan. As residents we managed to sneak into the private function the club were hosting with all the players and staff. We got talking to KK and he was fuckin brilliant. Even to the point where one of security sussed us and came over but Keegan said "leave them alone, they're with me"

Mind you not as good as Kev Horlock who kept buying us beers on his tab lol

On my last night of hols in Cancun, Mexico. Thought I would just check in on Bluemoon to see how our players fared in their internationals (hope KDB is OK, congrats David on the goal!) and found this thread. Bastards...now I'm waaay late to bed and have to get up early for the flight home!

Brilliant documentary! Really showed the heart of the club, the ups and downs and, with the aid of Gary's excellent narrative thread throughout, the humility and dignity of the club as we embrace the future.

That future is Blue.

Brilliant stuff, loved also that I can finally see again my Nescafé handshake at The family man when he scored, was on MOTD but the buggers edited me out after that

Gary James knowledge of the club is so awe inspiring. I love reading his posts on social media. It really painted a picture of how the club failed to build on its success in the 60s and 70s unlike say Liverpool after being in such a good position to do so. The way the club is run now dispute what people say about various Corporate projects is nothing more than a platform for future and continued success. We may not win trophies every year (who can) but to be up there an competing for them is what we all want to see :)
