MCFC v Sporting Lisbon Match Thread

Well,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Strength indepth................... NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is why we are buying more players. We got passed to death, a lesson on finding the man and move, let the ball do the work.

Stronger team out Sunday lets hope.

And its good night from him and good night from me. Good Night....

It was a friendly with a side the won't even start the Carling Cup games don't beat yourselves up to much! No where near the first eleven

Good exercise.

Gave a few players some match fitness and the opportunity to prove that they can play in Bobby's system.

A few did well, other failed miserably.

But this is the time to piss about with player/formations etc. If we're still like this against Valencia then we will have a problem, but until then chill.

which ones exactly did well - game plan against City - press high compact play and close down - City cant pass and will play hoof ball and look for the knock downs 50% chance of getting possession back.

I reckon the big game of this tour will be against the NY Red Bulls. We're sure to see more senior players next time out.

No this is the big game - Sporting are a better club and have a good reputation in football

Sporting have got their first Europa League game in around a week and were bound to take this more seriously in terms of squad selection. We've still got quite a few friendlies to go before the season kicks off. In terms of the tour's commercial aspect (which is what it's really all about for us), the American popular spotlight is all on the Red Bulls following the Henry signing. We'll be more likely to parade some senior names for the cameras.

Sporting looked a good couple of weeks ahead of City in fitness there, probably because they have an important Europa League match next week
