Well the first thing they can do is perform to the best of their ability for the whole season.

Whatever the reason for the hiccup we have been inconsistent as a team losing to teams with more ability is one thing but losing valuable points to say Burnley (-3) is not something to vote for even if it may not be the Manager or Kun A. that was at fault..

Last season?

There is a pattern of whoever wins the league sweeps up these awards yet funnily enough, it tends to disappear when its us doing the winning for some strange reason i just cant put my finger on right now.

Fair point about last year but we have not exactly given the decision makers sufficient evidence to change their votes to us this year have we ?

Agreed but that was never my point ;-)

MP is not a media darling so he didn't have a cat in hell's chance of winning it last year. It's unfair, corrupt and very unpalatable but I would settle for the team winning the league and/or cup over personal recognition any day of the week. Hopefully Sergio gets the golden boot on Sunday and the PFA / Writers etc can have a long hard look at themselves how this guy, the Premier Leagues goal/game ratio leader, has never won Player of the Year. Fools.

That's a complete non-sequitur.

Hi Gordon,

Sorry about the delay but I have been researching your comment and think it means a fallacy ?
If so apologies for misunderstanding the post I replied to.

Incidentally, bearing in mind that this was hardly a vintage year for ALL teams in PL are you happy with the way City have to my mind been disappointing this year ?

Non-sequitur means quite literally "it does not follow" so, no, I'm not saying it was a fallacy, just that bore no meaningful relationship to the point blueinsa was advancing.

Of course I'm not completely happy with our overall performance this season, although finishing second should never be described as a disappointment, but once again that is a non-sequitur.

That Pellegrini did not win MOTY last season, whilst not surprising, was still completely unjust, and brought into sharper relief by Mourinho winning it this year for achieving the same outcome.

Again, out of the last 14 manager of the year awards, 11 have been won by the winning manager. Out of the 3 times it hasn't both Bob and Pellergrini missed out.

Shameful.

Are you surprised, though?

Definitely not but at the same time, it doesn't mean we should accept and keep quiet about it mate.

Stick Kun in the Rags side and he would have cleaned up every year of late and any rag manager to win the league, never mind a league and cup double would be a shoe in, as was Mourinho and rightly so yet its us and its completely ignored.

Its shameful.
