he can't grumble, he always gets the credit he deserves does serg, his first season in English football the year we won the title and he was up for young player of the year he just has to hold his hands up and admit he lost out to the better player that year in Kyle Walker
History has proved that outcome to be the correct one.

whats this "History" you speak of ?

Pmsl at Mourinho and Hazard picking up the awards last night.

Our lot must wonder what they have to do!

Well the first thing they can do is perform to the best of their ability for the whole season.

Whatever the reason for the hiccup we have been inconsistent as a team losing to teams with more ability is one thing but losing valuable points to say Burnley (-3) is not something to vote for even if it may not be the Manager or Kun A. that was at fault..

We are on about last season. The goals we scored and broke records ? Yaya alone scored more goals than any other midfielder. We won 2 trophies including the Premier League, Hart won Golden Gloves and yet we were ignored.

Oh and don't forget Mancini was ignored as well.

Now aware of that and have apologised for my post, however thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Has there ever been a year when the top scorer in the league didn't even get in the team of the season? It seems unlikely. The manager of the season bollocks speaks for itself

Are you surprised, though?

Definitely not but at the same time, it doesn't mean we should accept and keep quiet about it mate.

Stick Kun in the Rags side and he would have cleaned up every year of late and any rag manager to win the league, never mind a league and cup double would be a shoe in, as was Mourinho and rightly so yet its us and its completely ignored.

Its shameful.
I'm sure frank will be along shortly to provide an explanation.

No explanation required. It is wrong and unjust in my opinion. If I think it is wrong I will say it and equally if I think there are possible reasons I will state them.

Bale won it that year, but that doesn't take away from your point as the rapist came second.

Don't forget Tevez went on a Golfing holiday that year as well,he was never in the running to be honest.

Tevez went on his golfing holiday the year after we won the FA cup.

The year we won the league he went missing, the golf swing at Norwich when he scored a hatrick should help you remember

Good to see you keeping an eye on proceedings, sheriff ;-)

I do enjoy the madness of this thread. What ever happened to the guy who spent three months measuring column inches dedicated to City and United to determine if the MEN had an agenda against us?

Yes but that wasn't the season referred to in the posts you were replying too. He finished top scorer in 10/11 with no golfing holiday and Parker won the poty award.

let me know if I'm wrong

last season PL top GS Suarez wins player of the year
year before PL top GS Van Persie wins player of the year
year before PL top GS Van Persie wins player of the year
year before PL top GS Tevez also captains side to first trophy in 34 years, Scott Parker wins player of the year (west ham got relegated)

this year PL top GS Aquero…..not even on the shortlist
Don't worry I'm sure there's a perfectly rational explanation.

Where's Pige when you need him?.......

Fully focusing on his new job as Louis van Gaal's speech writer.

Over the next couple of months of course we can look forward to headlines and comments from media and pundits (particular Merseyside pundits) about if Barkley or Sterling sign for City its scandalous of them, and City will simply ruin them and their England careers, and there will be no place in the team for them anyway (bench warmers merely), whereas if Milner leaves City for Liverpool say it will be a great move for him of course, a chance to take the reins up left by Gerrard at a great club, and it is perfect all round,

and of course if City sign Pogba or Bale, they would just be coming for the money, whereas if either signed for Utd or Chelsea what a great signing for them, they are sure now to win the Title next season and its just great for the Premier League.

Lets face it the media will not be happy until we start looking to sign only players from the Championship or lower, and then of course should we start to lose games drop down the league they can run with the headlines along the lines of a club in crisis. and the Sheikh wants to sell the club and we cant find a buyer anywhere (by the way £ 150 million for Villa - are they kidding ?)

The only way to shove two fingers up to the media and pundits is to keep wining trophies - in fact lets aim over the next 20 years to knock Trafford Rangers off their perch (and Arsenal and Liverpool et al) - their would be along term plan for our owners.
