Surely, there comes a point where their integrity cannot be impugned without rebuttal?

It is difficult to imagine the things that bother someone like Khaldoon, not because of his nationality, education, ethnicity, religion, experience or cultural background but because of the rarefied world that he operates in, the man is the owner of this, on the board of that, he rubs shoulders with....

Maybe Khaldoon might have a word with Murdoch about the Boiled Bollock bad mouthing us on Talksport, or maybe he had a word with Putin about Robbie Savage talking shite about City.

Do you seriously think that he wouldn't have urged Murdoch (perhaps unsuccessfully, it would appear) that it might be to his media empire's advantage to report more favourably upon events at City (and by reflection Abu Dhabi).

Possibly, but, as you say, if he did it's had precious little effect, that picture was taken back in 2010.

I've heard tell that Sheikh Mansour jokes that he is most often referred to as the guy who owns Manchester City. There's little doubt that bang for bucks City has really delivered for the Sheikh on so many levels, but if I'm wrong about their conservatism then I'd be interested to hear why you think the powers that be at City, slick and professional in so many aspects of what they do, has either not bothered or been spectacularly unsuccessful in countering the anti City bias in the media.

Exactly. Most of us on here go to the matches and know the truth but it is the neutrals and rival fans who see the crap and THEY BELIEVE IT. The club are paying a lot of money to make City go global
but everything is undermined by the press queuing up to have a go at us or downplay all achievements. Our Press Office is poor compared with that at OT and doesn't even do damage limitation.


We don't want favouritism we want fairness. We as fans are entitled to be biased and tribalistic but we should be able to rely on the serious papers and the BBC especially for reliable information not a glorified Red Tissue blog.

That's not the point. If i had payed good money to watch Sky/BT why should i have to put

Trouble is that we are still the " lucky upstarts due to oil- money " and not the " self-appointed greatest team in the world " with their " 659 million " " supporters " who happily have Sky /BT to watch their super heroes.
