But buried in there is the harsh reality that we have spent poorly of late, it's hard to deny that. You look at the team today and it's barely different and arguably inferior in fact to the team of 2 seasons ago. Since then we've spent what, £180m?, and the side we put out today is basically the same as the 2012 side, give or take. Navas sometimes instead of Johnson sometimes. Fernandino is the only automatic starter I can think of out of £180m spend.

Maybe c&p the article so it does not get clicks from blues who may give a toss what some chump thinks.
They all work similar to how the mail was exposed as working i.e. very badly. None of these fellas have an opinion i care to read.
You can tell they are all following this "get clicks at any cost" model with the sometimes plain stupid articles. I do not mean those taking delight in getting to write about how we are terrible, in general.
I was right in my decision to keep their excuses filed under "self interest" especially that hobbit looking chap who Ric talked to on here.
In fact i feel like chinning that gurning gimp the more i think of his general attitude in that article. His answers i kinda expected, bland, muted etc.
I get more insight on aspects of football here if i am honest in between the muffin v barm posts.
The press lost my attention and trust a while ago. I still would very much like to see Patrick Barclay get hit by a car/train/heavy thing though :-)
