Media bias against City

Seriously; whether you agree or disagree with what is on this thread how can you be embarrassed by it?
Because some of it is seriously embarrassing. I had my say about it all yesterday, mate. I'm not getting into it again. Some people don't find it embarrassing, some people do. That's why the world works.

have noticed as time goes on , when the pundits refer to our narrow 2-1 defeat against the goons , we are now being quoted as being outclassed or thrashed or given a real lesson , do they realise we had twice as many shots , more possession in the opposing half , and it was the goons hanging on for dear life for the last 15 minutes ?

To be fair, despite my stance against this media bias, I have to agree that we weren't exactly reported on favourably against the Tarquin snob cunts from the Emirates - you know, those twats that shout "HOOF" when you clear it and then applaud their own team for doing the exact same thing. I thought we battered them for most of the game and couldn't agree with the verdict given at the end of the match. Anyway, they'll win fuck all again and slug it out for a champs league spot. Its what they do best.

Gillette soccer special, Stelling et al bemoaning the fact that FFP stops anyone doing a 'Blackburn' and dreams coming true.

Apologies if I don't give a shit, far too late to the table.

It was cringeworthy, they are only saying it coz the big wanking istre, rag chavs aren't in the top 4

You make some very good points, Mr. Davies-Moustache.
My only addition to your argument would be much harder to quantify and might be considered wishy-washy or dare I say it, soft, in some quarters.
I would suggest that we've given every other fan (and director) of every other half-cocked club that most precious of all commodities, hope.
They've gotta be thinking, if it can happen to perennial fuck-ups like that lot...
Of course, the more calculated assessment would be that we have actually lessened their chances of a knight in shining armour galloping into their boardroom (especially now that we've snagged big Chinese investment too) but that's not the way football supporters dream.

I remember an argument I had about ffp, but I can't remember if it was with a Spurs or Everton fan. He agreed that ffp was around just to protect the established elite and it was a way of stopping clubs like City from competing at the top. He was also very much in agreement with it, because until his club was in a position to do what City had done, he didn't want us "jumping the queue".
