Media bias against City

Will we be literally written out of the history books?

Looking at the way the mainstream media cover football in general, and how they have been covering our club in recent times, i'm led to believe they are literally writing us out of history.

in 20 years time when Joe Public reflects back on who were the best players, who won the leagues and so on I just can't see people instantly thinking of David Silva, Sergio Aguero and Yaya Toure... even though they have been absolute beasts - people will be more prone to remember players from other clubs based on their sources of info such as Sky Sports and Sun/Dailymail etc...

Just feels like we're the Joe Calzaghe of the footballing world... an absolute beast, brilliant record, but shit media profile and thus most joe public will think of plenty of others before us.

Agreed.

I remember in late Summer 1968, when I was kid, chatting to a middle aged bloke who said he had followed both Manchester clubs
all his life but had always preferred City. He had been overjoyed at winning the league and was shocked that all the media had
focused on the scum winning the European Cup.For him winning the league was always the biggest thing (I feel the same).
He told me he now hated the scum and the press in equal measure.

On holiday in Tenerife over Christmas I got drinking with a couple of Arsenal fans, they couldn't believe how little credit we had
received for our recent achievements. It really is blatant and it isn't going to change anytime soon.

I believe you're wrong, if for no other reason than history is written by the victors.

Or rewritten by the rags.

Pre..............cisely. After last nights result it is more than likely our four year record will be 1st, 2nd 1st 2nd.
And yet it has been and will be, we bought the league like Blackburn, we made the worst defence of the league on record (oh I know the irony) we bought the league by flouting FFP, abysmal defence of our title after rightly being punished by FFP.

I stopped reading after seeing the bloke followed both Manchester clubs. Blue or Red, if you go to the game, or, if you’re unable to and used to, I’m fine with, but all this sentimental shite of “in the old days, I went to Maine Rd one week. OT the next” Utter, utter bollocks. NOBODY in my family would be seen within a fucking inch of that place. Ever. My dad, my grandad, and all before; blue to the core. And it never, ever, ever was an option to even think of going “there”. How the fuck could you follow both?

As for the agenda - just look at the trophies, watch David, Sergio etc, and let the haters hate. Water. Duck’s back.

Pity you didn't read the rest of my post it might have put things more into context for you.

Is Marc Higginson one of the beebs pet rags or a 'neutral' from Mcr like so many other closet scum?
In his bbc post match the three main topics he covers are how shit qpr are, how they deserve to go down for not trying to beat us, and speculation on the future of both managers - Yes that's right, after winning 6-0 Pellers gets touted for the chop! Let's hope any other PL managers that finish one place below their stated tatrget come under the same scrutiny.

This fuckwit was doing the text commentary on the Beeb tonight for the Arsenal game - finished up saying "Arsenal missed the chance to go second in the league". I tweeted him asking if he really thought the Arse were going to put 9 past Swansea to achieve this - a reply came there none. How do these twats get these jobs? And he's getting paid out of our license fees.
According to the BBC, Arsenal went second a couple of weeks ago, despite being equal on points and behind us on GD.
