Will we be literally written out of the history books?

Looking at the way the mainstream media cover football in general, and how they have been covering our club in recent times, i'm led to believe they are literally writing us out of history.

in 20 years time when Joe Public reflects back on who were the best players, who won the leagues and so on I just can't see people instantly thinking of David Silva, Sergio Aguero and Yaya Toure... even though they have been absolute beasts - people will be more prone to remember players from other clubs based on their sources of info such as Sky Sports and Sun/Dailymail etc...

Just feels like we're the Joe Calzaghe of the footballing world... an absolute beast, brilliant record, but shit media profile and thus most joe public will think of plenty of others before us.
I believe you're wrong, if for no other reason than history is written by the victors.

Can't see Abramovich and Maureen writing anything nice

If they insist on proving to the world that they are complete clowns, leave them to it.

Papers going mental over the u21 derby because the scum won 4-0.

Yes - less coverage of City winning an actual trophy compared to this. Sky Sports already have 2-3 tweets about it. What can we do except not buy the papers. I haven't handed over a single penny for a newspaper in a long time now and will continue not to.

Interesting dilemma here, no clicks, we are sidelined as a cub with no 'click-clout' therefore why bother to humour a potential new group of subscribers..... so we need to raise our commercial profile as potentials

Then there is a fairly well -established argument that goes.. the fookers are gonna do us over come what may, so don't click

i am beginning to think that actually, in the long-term, with decent sets of results, and us actively badgering and challenging the tw@ts with data to support us, then we will start to shit stuff

As a club in the 21st Century, we ignore PR at our peril...

Chelsea have gained ground in the press in this way and , though we are 'noisy neighbours' of their beloved rags, as someone travelling with both work and leisure, I have noticed that we are developing our international profile and fanbase.... The missus from Lyon and the City generally supports L'OL but I have been noticing more and more City shirts around Lyon in the last 3 years , not least amongst French Maghrebian supporters, especially in the 9eme arrondissment, Vaise / La Duchere (where my mother in law lives), they are loving the football, really proud of our arab owners and are subscribing to TV to watch us play

Just point them in the direction of the league table and trophies won over the last few years.

Just seen the Sky advert for the Aguero goal, was pleasantly surprised.

Yes but.... I have now come to the conclusion that Sky just celebrate their reaction to the Aguero moment not the moment itself

I.e. they like the "watch it... Drink it in" and the "lovebites and everyfink" because it reflects well on them as a sports broadcaster and not celebrating City winning
